- The BMW 7 Series is a large family of high-end sedans born in 1968 (at the time, this series was called BMW 2500/2800) and which has been renewed seven times, the last having been in the spring of 2022 This model, which remains an eternal rival of the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8, but also of the Lexus LS, had to be excessive, which is the case, since the new generation E65 is 13 centimeters longer, or 5 .25 m for the normal version and 5.39 m for the long version, not far from the dimensions of a Rolls-Royce Ghost which shares the same CLAR platform. Compared to the old 7 Series, the width increases by 5 centimeters (1.95 m) and the height also by 5 centimeters (1.54 m).
- In addition, the powers have been revised upwards. The 3-litre six-cylinder and 4.5-litre eight-cylinder petrol engines become rechargeable hybrids (PHEV) and deliver 490 hp for the first and 570 hp for the second (compared to 395 hp and 530 hp for the previous models). However, a diesel engine remains in the catalog, it is a 3-litre six-cylinder developing 300 hp, a kind of entry-level for a model sold from 140,000 euros.
- The most notable novelty is the arrival of a 100% electric version called i7 with a power of 544 hp allowing a range of 600 km according to the WLTP cycle. The battery capacity is 100 kWh.
- The new BMW 7 Series will be produced like the previous ones at the German Dingolfing site, at the rate of 50,000 units per year, which traditionally places it in volume between the Mercedes S-Class and the Audi A8.

- Mercedes unveiled the 100% electric EQS limousine last year, considered the electric version of the S-Class limousine with a completely different aesthetic because it is aerodynamically optimized, which creates an almost single-volume line. This strategy of clearly differentiating the electric model from the thermal model was not the solution chosen by BMW to create its i7 limousine competing with the EQS and perfectly identical to the new 7 Series, therefore much more classic in appearance.
- New in 2022 for Mercedes is that the EQS (F-segment) is paired with an SUV version which is sort of a bigger version of the current EQC SUV (D-segment). This model can also be considered the electric version of the large GLS SUV. By its size (5.12 m long, 1.96 m wide, 1.72 m high), it is a competitor of the BMW iX.
- The new EQS SUV shares its EVA2 platform with the EQS limousine and adopts a sober aesthetic inspired by the EQA SUV (C segment), less ostentatious than that of the BMW iX. Like the GLS, the EQS SUV is a seven-passenger vehicle. Its electric motor has a choice of 360 hp for the rear-wheel-drive version or 544 hp for the all-wheel-drive version (a BMW iX has a power of 523 hp). This engine allows a range of 500 km or 600 km depending on the power.
- The EQS SUV will be produced in Tuscaloosa (Alabama, USA) at the rate of 5,000 units per year, unlike the EQS limousine which is produced in Sindelfingen (Germany).

- Mercedes has until now had three light utility vehicles (LUVs) of different segments and therefore different transport capacities: Citan small utility vehicle (N1-1), Vito medium utility vehicle (N1-2) and Sprinter large utility vehicle (N1 -3). The Citan was renewed last year on the basis of the new Renault Kangoo, from which it takes over the bodywork and the engines, including the 100% electric engine which had been refused on the previous generation. Each of the Mercedes utilities was offered in a passenger transport (PC) version: a CitanPC, a Vito PC (called V-Class) and a Sprinter PC.
- Today, appears the PC version of the recent Mercedes Citan which is renamed Class T. This model takes the bodywork of the Renault Kangoo in PC version of 4.50 m long. Only the grille and a few points of detail differ on the two models. This T-Class will also be available in a 100% electric version (called EQT) like the Mercedes Citan and Renault Kangoo. The Nissan Townstar, which shares the same bodywork as the Kangoo, Citan and T-Class, will also be entitled to its 100% electric version. The combustion engines are the 1.3 liter petrol unit (131 hp) and the 1.5 liter diesel unit (116 hp) both of Renault origin.
- A version of the T-Class with a long wheelbase (length: 4.90 m) will be available at the end of the year, as on the Citan and Kangoo. This version will be an alternative to the much bulkier V-Class and less utilitarian Class B.
- The Citan and T-Class are manufactured in the same factory as the Kangoo and Townstar, that of Maubeuge (France).
- Inovev expects 15,000 Class T per year, as much as the Citan.

- The current range of the Lexus brand (luxury subsidiary of Toyota) consists of sedans IS (D segment), ES (E segment), LS (F segment) as well as SUVs UX (C segment), NX (D segment), RX (E segment), GX /LX (F segment) and incidentally RC (E segment) and LC (F segment) coupes, i.e. about ten different models targeting different audiences. The brand has come a long way since the launch in 1989 of the first Lexus, which was a sedan inspired directly by the Mercedes S-Class of the 80s.
- Of the ten Lexus models present in the catalog today, most are hybrid motorized (HEV-Full), only the UX SUV was until now also available in a 100% electric version. But the electrification program is underway at Lexus, since several projects have been unveiled in recent months in this direction, and the new SUV RZ (E segment) presented this month is the first official realization.
- With dimensions close to the RX, the RZ is therefore the second 100% electric model from Lexus, after the UX (segment C). It's actually the Lexus version of the recently introduced Toyota BZ4X, with both models sharing the same e-TNGA platform. The BZ4X is however 10 centimeters shorter than the RZ (4.70 m against 4.80 m). Compared to the Toyota BZ4X, the Lexus RZ is more powerful (Premium status requires) since its electric motor delivers 313 hp against 218 hp for the Toyota. The battery with a capacity of 71.5 kWh allows a range of 450 km according to the WLTP cycle. The Lexus RZ competes with the Audi Q4, Audi E-tron, BMW iX3, Mercedes EQC and Jaguar i-Pace. Inovev is counting on 25,000 sales per year of the new Lexus RZ then 50,000 per year (from 2025).

- The Jeep brand, which belongs to the Stellantis group, has just presented the new generation of its favorite model, the Grand Cherokee, which remains the best-selling model of the brand along with the Wrangler. This is the fifth generation of the model (the previous one dated back to 2011) and the first launched under the Stellantis era. In the Jeep lineup, the Grand Cherokee (E-segment) sits above the Renegade (B-segment), Compass (C-segment) and Cherokee (D-segment), but is now supplanted by the Grand Wagoneer (F-segment) on Dodge Ram base. The Grand Cherokee competes with the Dodge Durango and Range Rover Sport.
- The new Grand Cherokee takes the Giorgio platform from the Alfa-Roméo Giulia and Stelvio and the engine from the Wrangler, namely a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol plug-in hybrid producing 375 hp, which is now the most powerful engine performance of the Grand Cherokee. Indeed, the 3.6-liter V6 develops only 295 hp and the 5.7-liter V8 360 hp. This downsizing operation coupled with electrification has therefore proved to be profitable.
- The new Grand Cherokee is slightly longer than the previous one (4.91 m against 4.80 m) and a long wheelbase version is added to the range, this is the Grand Cherokee L which measures 5.18 m long, 27 centimeters longer.
- The new Grand Cherokee is produced at the Stellantis plant in Detroit (Michigan, USA). The old version had been manufactured at 245,000 units in 2021 and Inovev therefore expects a volume of 300,000 units per year from 2022, including the long-wheelbase version. The Grand Cherokee accounts for about a quarter of Jeep sales.
