Hyundai-Kia Product Plan
- The Hyundai-Kia Group has announced its Plan for the period 2018-2021.
- In addition to the restyling of existing models and the new Genesis innovations (which is the subject of a specific analysis by Inovev), the group is announcing nine new models over the period, including four under the Hyundai brand and five the Kia brand. Most of these are replacements of existing models.
- Most of these new models-five- will be SUVs , while there are only two new sedans, a new coupe and a new minivan.
- At Hyundai, the focus will be on renewing the Tucson SUVs (2021) and Santa Fe (2018). The latter should be more distinct from the Tucson. The Sonata sedan and the Veloster coupe will be renewed in 2019 and 2018.
- At Kia, the Sportage will not be renewed until 2022, but the emphasis will be on renewing the Soul (2018) and Sorento (2020). The Telluride, which is expected to feature the brand's SUV range, will be launched in 2019. It is expected to take over the line of the concept of the same name presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2016. The Sedona MPV (Carnival in some markets) will be renewed in 2021. The Kia Forte (Cerato, K3, Cee'd in some markets) will be the only sedan of the brand to be renewed during this period (2019). The current generation is from 2012.

- 说明
Inovev expects sales volumes of 50,000 units per year for the Kia Stinger
- Kia has created a more upmarket model, the Stinger sedan, from the Optima sedan taking the general line, and practically the same dimensions of the Optima (length: 4.83m, width: 1.87m, height: 1.40m).
- The difference with the Optima is mainly under the hood, with a range of high performance engines available.
- It is possible to have a 4 cylinders 2.0 turbo 255hp petrol engine, a V6 3.3 biturbo 370hp petrol engine, or a 4 cylinders 2.2 200hp diesel engine, which is already mounted on the Sorento.
- No Kia brand model to date has displayed such high power, the Optima offering only engines with a power between 140hp and 245hp.
- With the Stinger, Kia targets the Audi A7, Mercedes CLS, Jaguar XF, Volkswagen Arteon, ie the most dynamic models of the E segment (Optima is D segment).
- The Stinger will be marketed mainly in South Korea, the United States and Europe.
- Inovev expects a volume of sales of 50,000 units per year from the Stinger, all produced in South Korea. Even though the production volume of the Kia brand has stagnated globally for two years, the manufacturer does not aim for volumes for this model but rather the desirable image that the Stinger could convey.
