The Ford F-Series is the most produced vehicle in the USA by 2025
- Based on production figures calculated for the first 11 months of 2025, Inovev estimated the production volume of each model worldwide for the entire year. Here is the Top 20 by model (passenger cars + light utility vehicles) for the United States, which produced 10.5 million vehicles last year, representing a decrease of nearly 4% compared to 2024. The US is not yet benefiting from the relocation of certain models produced in Mexico or Europe. These relocations – if they actually take place as several carmakers have announced – are not expected to be effective until 2026, 2027, or even 2028.
- The Ford F-Series pickup truck (available in several sizes) remains by far the most produced model in the United States, as it has been for many years. Its production volume will slightly exceed 900,000 units in 2025, with half in the standard size and the other half in the larger size.
- The Ford F-Series (which has also been the best-selling model in the United States for several decades) far surpasses the Tesla Model Y (D-segment SUV), Toyota Camry (D-segment sedan), Ram Pick-up (standard pickup), Chevrolet Silverado (standard pickup), and Jeep Grand Cherokee (E-segment SUV). These models each have production volumes of around 300,000 to 400,000 units.
- SUVs remain the most present models in the 2025 US Top 20, with 11 SUVs (Tesla Model Y, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda CRV, Ford Explorer, Jeep Wrangler, Chevrolet Traverse, Hyundai Tucson, Mercedes GLE, Ford Escape, BMW X5, Nissan Rogue), 5 Pick-ups (Ford F-Series, Ram pickup, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra) and 4 sedans (Toyota Camry , Tesla Model 3, Toyota Corolla, Honda Accord).
The Tesla Model Y is still the most produced car in China in 2025

The Tesla Model Y is still the most produced car in China in 2025
- According to the final production figures for 2025, China produced 30,269,903 passenger cars last year, compared to 27,476,886 in 2024, representing an increase of 10.2%, a growth much greater than that recorded in the two major automotive production regions, Europe and the United States.
- The Tesla Model Y (D-segment electric SUV) remained the most produced car in China in 2025 (540,000 units), despite a 3% decrease in its production volume compared to 2024 (-16,000 units ). The BYD Seagull (B-segment electric sedan), with 527,000 units produced in 2025, secured second place, thanks to an increase of 47,000 units compared to 2024.
- In third position, we note the presence of the Geely Xingyuan (electric B-segment sedan) which made a spectacular breakthrough, with 486,000 units produced, representing an increase of 424,000 units compared to 2024.
- In fourth position, Wuling Hongguang Mini EV (A-segment electric sedan) was produced at 446,000 units in 2025, and practically doubles its 2024 volume (+220,000 units).
- Four electric cars therefore dominate the top four places in Chinese car production. Eight BYD models feature in the China 2025 Top 20, demonstrating the brand's clear dominance in the Chinese market and in terms of production. Also included are three Geely models, two Chery models, two Tesla models, and two VW models.
The Fiat Panda is the most produced car in Italy in 2025

The Fiat Panda is the most produced car in Italy in 2025
- Based on production figures calculated for the first 11 months of 2025, Inovev estimated the production volume of each model produced worldwide for the entire year. Here is the Top 20 by model (passenger cars + light utility vehicles) for Italy, which produced just over 500,000 vehicles last year, a 9% decrease compared to 2024, mainly due to the discontinuation of the Fiat 500X (its replacement, the Fiat 600, is produced in Poland) and the end of the Jeep Renegade and Compass, as well as a relatively sharp drop in Alfa Romeo production volume, whose commercial star has become the Junior, produced in Poland.
- The most produced car in Italy remains the Fiat Panda (A-segment hatchback) which has not suffered from the launch of the Fiat Grande Panda (B-segment hatchback) which is rather located at a higher price level and which is in reality the replacement for the old Fiat Punto.
- In the graph below, Inovev has included the production volume of the Fiat Grande Panda produced in Serbia to facilitate comparison with the Fiat Panda. We can see that the Grande Panda, launched in January 2025, has not exceeded 30,000 units produced, while the Fiat Panda has exceeded 130,000 units. The Grande Panda still has a long way to go if it wants to reach a production volume comparable to that of the Panda, or even eventually replace it.
- The second most produced model in Italy is the Fiat Ducato van, followed by the Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper. It's worth noting that vans account for nearly half of Italy's total car production, hence the excellent ranking of these three models. Furthermore, Italy remains the home of grand touring coupes (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini).
The Dacia Sandero is the most produced car in "Greater Europe"

The Dacia Sandero is the most produced car in "Greater Europe"
- Based on production figures calculated for the first 11 months of 2025, Inovev estimated the production volume of each model worldwide for the entire year. Here is the Top 20 by model (passenger cars + light utility vehicles) for the wider European region (the 30 EU countries + Turkey + Morocco), one of the European delimitations frequently used by Inovev for its automotive production analyses. Indeed, most of the cars produced in Turkey and Morocco are exported to continental Europe. This wider European region produced 15.9 million vehicles in 2025.
- Given that the production gap between the two most produced cars in this region, the Dacia Sandero and the Renault Clio, is very small at the end of 2025, and that car registration figures for Europe for the entire year are not yet available (they will be released at the end of January 2026), it is difficult to differentiate between the two models at present. However, it is already certain that these two cars far surpass all their competitors in this region, both in terms of registrations and production. The Dacia Sandero (produced in Morocco) and the Renault Clio (produced in Turkey) will end 2025 with comparable production volumes of just over 300,000 units each.
- The two Renault Group models easily outperform the Volkswagen Tiguan and Golf (made in Germany), which occupy third and fourth positions. The BMW X1 (made in Germany) is in fifth position, ahead of the Ford Transit Custom (made in Turkey), which is the most produced commercial vehicle in the Europe-Morocco-Turkey region.
- The Toyota Yaris Cross, which is the most produced car in France, takes sixth place (it is the most produced Japanese car in the region), ahead of the Opel Corsa (made in Spain) and the Toyota Yaris (made in France and Czech Republic).
- It should be noted that the maximum production level in "greater Europe" is projected to be around 300,000 vehicles in 2025, while Chinese vehicles are produced in China at a rate of over 500,000 units per year (See analysis 2026-01-09 below).
The Opel Corsa is the most produced car in Spain by 2025

The Opel Corsa is the most produced car in Spain by 2025
- Based on production figures calculated for the first 11 months of 2025, Inovev estimated the production volume of each model worldwide for the entire year. Here is the Top 20 by model (passenger cars + light utility vehicles) for Spain, which produced 2.05 million vehicles last year, nearly 20% of which were utility vehicles (Stellantis, Mercedes, Iveco). Car production in Spain fell significantly last year (-10%), mainly due to the relocation of the Volkswagen Polo (B-segment hatchback) to South Africa. The departure of the Citroën C3 Aircross (B-segment SUV) and Opel Crossland (B-segment SUV), which were transferred to Slovakia, was not at all offset by the arrival of the notoriously unsuccessful Lancia Ypsilon (B-segment hatchback).
- The most produced car in Spain in 2025 is the Opel Corsa (B-segment hatchback) with 200,000 units produced last year, clearly ahead of the Renault Captur (B-segment SUV) which had taken its place in 2024. Indeed, the Renault Symbioz (B-segment SUV) has captured a significant portion of the Captur's customer base in 2025. As a result, the Renault Captur falls from first place to third, behind the Peugeot 2008 (B-segment SUV) which moves up from third to second place in 2025.
- In fourth position, we note the presence of the Seat/Cupra The Leon (C-segment sedan) is progressing thanks to its recent face-lifting and is ahead of the Volkswagen T-Cross (B-segment SUV), Seat Ibiza (B-segment sedan) and Ford Kuga (C-segment SUV), which has now become the only Ford vehicle produced in Spain.
