Geneva Motorshow 2017: Porsche Panamera Station Wagon

- The recent Porsche Panamera(F segment) will be available in an unprecedented station wagon version that will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

- This model will be the very first station wagon in this market segment as neither the Mercedes S-Class, nor the BMW 7 Series, the Audi A8, the Jaguar XJ or even the Lexus LS, are available with this body type.

Geneva Motorshow 2017: Range Rover Velar

- The new Velar is positioned in the Range Rover product range between the Evoque and the Range Sport in terms of dimensions and price .

- This E-segment SUV is using the platform of the recently launched Jaguar F-Pace SUV.

- The Velar is a longer and more spacious variation on the Evoque ; both models will be produced on the same site.

Geneva Motorshow 2017: Mazda CX5

- The new generation of the Mazda CX5 SUV (D segment) replaces the old model launched in 2012.

- The new model keeps some of the body features as well as the platform of the old model.

- This strategy is due to the continuing success of the former model (300,000 sales in 2016, a slight increase compared to 2015).

- In the Mazda product range , the CX5 is between the CX3 (C segment) and the CX9 (E segment).

Geneva Motorshow 2017: Opel Crossland and Opel Insignia

- The new Opel Crossland SUV (B segment) replaces the compact Meriva MPV (B segment).

- Manufactured on the same assembly lines as the Meriva, the Crossland adopts the platform and engines of the Citroën C3 Aircross also being presented at the Geneva show and produced on the same site.

- The Crossland is a little shorter than its potential in- house competitor the Opel Mokka

- The new generation of the Insignia sedan (D segment) replaces the previous model launched in 2009 (life cycle of 8 years).

- The new model, also available as a station wagon, is more upmarket, aiming at customers for Premium E-segment cars.

- The Insignia”s competitors will therefore mainly be the VW Passat, Ford Mondeo, Renault Talisman and Peugeot 508.

Geneva Motorshow 2017: Mercedes E Class Cabrio

- The new Mercedes E-class cabriolet is part of the Mercedes range between the Class C (D segment) convertible and the Class S (F segment) cabriolet.

- It replaces the former Cabriolet Class E launched in 2009 and , unlike last time, uses the platform of the E Class sedan rather than that of the Class C.

- Its roof is in canvas, like those of the Class C and Class S convertibles
