Polestar 2
- Polestar is a new brand of the Geely group, which is dedicated to 100% electric premium cars based on Volvo vehicles . While the Polestar 1 was a 100% electric coupé, the Polestar 2, which is present in Geneva, is a 100% electric 4-door sedan that could develop a power output of around 400 hp and claim a range of 500 kilometres. Its platform is based on the Volvo XC40.
- It is therefore a direct rival of the Tesla Model 3 that has just arrived on the European market.
- The Polestar 2 will be on the market from the first quarter of 2020.
- It will be produced in Daqing, in Volvo's Chinese factory.

Renault Clio V
- Renault presents the new generation of the Clio. This model is crucial for the manufacturer because the Clio remains the Renault model most sold in France and the second most sold model in Europe. Although it has a very similar silhouette to the previous generation, the Clio V adopts a new body, that is a little shorter and lower, designed on a new platform, called CMF-B.
- This new platform allows the new Clio to be equipped with a hybrid engine for the first time (it will be launched in 2020).
- The new Renault Clio should be produced mainly in Bursa (Turkey) and Novo Mesto (Slovenia). Inovev expects production volume of 400,000 Clio V units per year.

Worldwide sales of electric cars in 2018
- In 2018, the world market for electric cars (100% electric and plug-in hybrids) showed a 70% increase compared to 2017, to 2,018,247 units from 1,188,059 units a year earlier.
- By country, China remains by far the leading market for electric cars (1,102,375 units; +84%), ahead of Europe (386,347 units; +38%), the United States (358,645 units; +83%) and Japan (52,013 units; stable).
- In 2018, the Californian brand Tesla became the world's leading manufacturer of electric cars (in 2017, it was BYD). With 245,240 units sold last year, Tesla leads the BYD (227,364 units), Renault-Nissan (192,711 units), BAIC (164,958 units), BMW (142,311 units), SAIC (108,624 units), Hyundai-Kia (90,860 units), Geely (85,810 units), GM (76,570 units) and Volkswagen (72,366 units) groups.
- By model, the Tesla Model 3 became the world's best-selling electric car in 2018 (145,846 units), ahead of the BAIC EC-Series (90,637 units), Nissan Leaf (87,149 units), Tesla Model S (50,045 units), Tesla Model X (49,349 units), BYD Qin PHEV (47,452 units), JAC EV65 (46,586 units), BYD e5 (46,251 units), Toyota Prius PHEV (45,686 units) and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (41,888 units). The Renault Zoé lost four places and moved from 7th to 11th place. This model should be renewed in the second half of 2019.

- Ssangyong( now a Mahindra subsidiary) presents the new generation of its C-segment SUV, the Korando, whose style is strongly inspired by that of the Tivoli. The previous generation dated from 2010.
- The new SUV of the Korean manufacturer is making a real leap forward since for the first time it will be available in a 100% electric version.
- The Korando competes with non-premium C-segment SUVs such as Nissan Qashqai, Toyota CHR, Honda HRV, Renault Kadjar, Peugeot 3008, Citroen DS5 Aircross, Opel Grandland, Ford Kuga, Volkswagen T-Roc, Seat Ateca, Skoda Karoq, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage.
- SsangyongKorando is produced in the manufacturer's Korean factory in Pyongtaek

- The GM group (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Baojun, Wuling) has published its sales figures for the year 2018. Worldwide sales amounted to 8.38 million units, a decrease of 10.4% compared to 2017.
- This decrease is mainly attributable to the sale of Opel-Vauxhall to the PSA group, which was recorded for the full 12 months of 2018. The GM group, now without sales in Europe, stands out clearly from the three world leaders, namely the Renault-Nissan, Volkswagen and Toyota groups. However, GM remains the fourth largest manufacturer in the world.
- The GM group's worldwide sales in 2018 can be broken down as follows:
1. China is its largest market, with 3.63 million vehicles, or 43% of its global sales.
2. The United States is its second largest market, with 2.95 million vehicles,35% of its worldwide sales.
3. Brazil is its third largest market, with 434,000 vehicles, 5% of its worldwide sales.
- These three markets accounted for 83% of GM Group's worldwide sales in 2018, with 3.95 million Chevrolet, 1.30 million Buick, 0.65 million GMC, 0.40 million Cadillac and the remainder divided between Wuling (1.20 million) and Baojun (0.88 million). The GM group's best-selling models in 2018 were the Chevrolet Silverado (649,000 units), WulingHongguang (477,000 units), Chevrolet Equinox (438,000 units) and Baojun 510 (361,000 units).
