Inovev forecasts 75,000 units per year worldwide of the new Porsche Macan
- Porsche (a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group) presented the new generation of its mid-range SUV Macan, the previous generation of which dates back to 2014. The new generation of the Macan which is 12 cm longer than the previous model (4.78 m compared to 4.66 m) is a little closer to the Porsche Cayenne, the brand's high-end SUV.
- Designed on a platform solely dedicated to electric motorization (PPE platform), the new Macan will be offered only in a battery electric version, which is a risk for the carmaker of seeing its sales fall, as we saw with Smart a few years ago.
- Inovev is forecasting on 75,000 sales per year worldwide of the new Porsche Macan EV which will undoubtedly achieve its best scores in China (25,000 sales) and the USA (25,000 sales), with Europe remaining the 3rd market (20,000 sales).
- With 600 kilos of battery (for a capacity of 95 kWh), the Macan EV has a total weight of 2.3 tonnes (300 kilos more than the heaviest old Macan with a thermal engine). The carmaker offers two power versions, the first displaying 408 hp (300 kW) and the second 639 hp (470 kW). The range of the Macan EV would be 600 kilometers according to the carmaker. The Porsche Macan EV will be produced at the Leipzig site (Germany).
