Context
- Volkswagen is expected to unveil the ID UNYX 08 all-electric SUV and ID UNYX 09 sedan at the 2026 Beijing Motor Show, both developed jointly with Xpeng
- The result of the first technological collaboration between Volkswagen and its local partner Xpeng , these new vehicles required only 24 months between the signing of the joint development agreement and their mass production in Anhui, Volkswagen announced last month.
- The ID UNYX 08 measures 5.00 m in length, 1.95 m in width and 1.69 m in height, with a wheelbase of 3.03 m. The model also incorporates Xpeng 's second-generation Vision- Language -Action (VLA 2.0) intelligent driving solution , supporting autopilot functions on highways and in urban areas.
- The ID UNYX 09 will measure over 5 m in length and will adopt the same technical characteristics as the 08, namely 1 or 2 electric motors (230 to 370 kW) and LFP batteries of 82 or 95 kWh.
