Stellantis Group sold 5.41 million vehicles in 2024
Stellantis Group sold 5.41 million vehicles worldwide in 2024, down 12% from 2023 , when it sold nearly 6.15 million vehicles. Stellantis lost nearly 740,000 vehicles last year compared to 2023. This drop is the largest among the world's top 25 carmakers. It is explained by several factors that have combined:
1. Stellantis' sales in the European market (30 countries = EU + UK + Switzerland + Norway), which is its largest market, fell by 8% (to 2.57 million units) due to the delayed launches of the new Citroën C3, Citroën C3 electric, Citroën C3 Aircross , Opel Frontera, as well as the pause on deliveries of the Fiat 500 and 500 electric, and the laborious transition between the old and new Lancia Ypsilon. The DS brand did not shine last year either.
2. Stellantis' sales in the US market, which is its second largest market, fell by 15% (to 1.3 million units) due to the delayed launches of new versions of the Ram pickup (-19.3%) and the end of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Challenger, which were high-volume vehicles. Dodge saw its sales plummet by 29%.
3. Stellantis sales on the Chinese market continued to decline (-15.8%), with volumes recorded last year now representing only 68,556 units, in a market of 23 million units...
4. Only South America allowed Stellantis to show growth in its vehicle sales (+4% to 912,000 units).

Overall, Stellantis remains the fifth largest carmaker in the world, just behind GM and just ahead of BYD.
