- The electric carmaker Tesla opened a new assembly plant (CKD) in Tilburg, in the Netherlands. This site will carry out the final assembly of the S model, marketed exclusively for the European market.

- The components came from the United States, where the model was originally manufactured. In addition, the plant will become the main Tilburg Tesla site for services and spare parts in Europe.

- The Tesla carmaker, based in California, which has been designing and producing fast electric cars for ten years, says having already sold more than 15,000 cars of this type in thirty countries. The S  Model  is the first premium sedan in the world built from the start with an electric motor.

- The S model has a range of 500 kilometers, which is a record for this type of engine.

- In the first seven months of 2013, Tesla has produced 13,962 Model S in the United States,which is a good performance given the price of the vehicle (nearly  100 000 €) to compete (Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Jaguar ).

- The production of the Tesla began in June 2012.
